Hey team.
It's another short week after the Coronation weekend.
Most significantly, MPs debate the Energy Bill. The Lords added a motion to ban the opening of new coal mines, which the government will likely remove in the Commons.
More contingency plans are needed for Northern Ireland.
The government there collapsed a while back, and the new legislation allows civil servants to continue making decisions in place of Stormont ministers.
And the government will be doing some soul searching after the local elections.
It wasn't a pretty picture for the Conservatives and helps Labour to seize the narrative that they'll need to carry them into the next general election.

Reforms security and regulation of the energy market. Started in the Lords.

Climate and Ecology Bill
Requires the UK to achieve certain carbon emissions targets. Creates a Climate and Nature Assembly to advise the government on a strategy to do this. Ten minute rule motion presented by Olivia Blake.
Northern Ireland (Interim Arrangements) Bill - all stages
Applies to: England, Wales, Scotland, Northern Ireland
Allows current civil servant decision-making arrangements to continue until an Executive is formed in Northern Ireland. There is currently no government in Stormont after it collapsed.
